The sweetest little lady is two months old now... wow! I feel like if I blink she will be a toddler. She continues to amaze me each day. She is so awesome. Her spirit is so sweet and gentle and she seems wise. She only cries when she wants something and even then will give us warning noises before she cries. She's 9wks old now and has slept through the night since she was about 6wks old (swaddled in the moses basket in her crib). When she wakes up in the morning we hear her making little noises on the monitor and go in her room to see her looking around smiling and coo'ing. I try to hold her when she isn't sleeping, but if I do put her in her bouncy seat she is happy to sit there for a long time and just take everything in. If she gets bored she tries to start up a baby conversation with the light... it's apparently pretty funny to her!
Her usual routine is that she wakes up around 7am. She isn't starving, so we usually wait about 30 minutes to nurse, and then she is ready for a nap about an hour or so after waking. The rest of the day varies from day to day, but she sleeps on and off for most of the day until about 5pm. From 5pm-9pm she is pretty much awake. She goes to bed around 9pm because that is the schedule that Lucas is on. She and I are really comfortable together. I can take her out for errands for 3 hours and not worry one bit about her. She usually sleeps, but if she wakes up then I just put her in the carrier and she nurses while we go about our business. She just goes with the flow and is happy to be there. That's what we say all the time. She's just happy to be here.

Miss Ellen is a doll baby! Shan, I think your babies are a testament to what a good mother you are. Lucas is so full of love and wonder and Ellen seems to be just so sweet and calm. It is so hard because you want them to grow up so you can see what sort of people they will be, but at the same time you want them to stay small forever.
