Lucas's teacher is awesome and we LOVE her. She told me this past week that she is so happy with Lucas's work that he's doing at school, especially his cutting and coloring work. When I asked what we could do at home she said to make it fun. So when I'm cooking dinner have him sort the fruit loops into different piles according to color, or sort different shaped pasta into different piles. I took her advice and made us a little cooking project. We were making a dessert for his Thanksgiving Feast at school, so he was enthusiastic about helping anyway. I just had him sort the candy into three piles and then put five rows of ten pretzels on the pan. It was a good way to spend 15 min... then off to the next project : )
