We had Lucas's 2nd birthday party at Roanoke Park this weekend and it was so much fun!!! It really went as well as I could have hoped, except that Jeff wasn't feeling 100%, but at least he felt well enough to come and play with Lucas. The weather was perfect - 70 degrees and breezy. Almost everyone that we invited could make the rescheduled date, so the company was perfect. I really thought Lucas wouldn't know it was his birthday and wouldn't have that great of a time because he hasn't been into playgrounds lately, but he had a blast! He was a little shy at first, but after no time at all he was running all around the park giggling and being a silly boy. You can see from the 2nd picture below that he turned into Serious Lucas when we were singing Happy Birthday to him, but that changed as soon as he got that cupcake in his hands. I have tons of pictures and it may take me all day to get them posted, but we have such great memories from that day that I have to include them all...
