This Christmas is like no other for us... we have no family coming in town! Sandy was planning on coming, but couldn't come at the last minute because her sweet, little dog is sick. Actually, Jeff's cousin Brie and her boyfriend, are coming on the 26th... but no family today or tomorrow. It is a little sad since I always think of spending time with family on Christmas Day, but it will be a good opportunity for us to have some special time with just the four of us. I just don't want to be folding laundry on Christmas Day, like any other weekend day, so we have some ideas to make it special.
Today, however, we wanted to take advantage of the nice weather and go for a nature walk. We met Marie and Olivier at Umstead for a couple of hours before heading home to make cookies for Santa.
Miss Ellen sure does have style : )
Lucas was pretty pumped that Santa is coming tonight!
Not many people in the park today...
We did find someone with a sweet dog that she let us pet. Ellen wants to pet EVERY dog that she sees...
Speaking of dogs, our little guy was thirsty...
