Funky Fitness, KK, Chicken Coup Tour

We have had a busy Saturday morning!  We started the day with Funky Fitness and Marie's studio.  I have always hesitated to sign up for a Saturday morning class since it's our first day of the week to just chill out.  But really, who can chill out with Lucas and Ellen in the house?  We are up by 6:30, so 9:00 isn't too hard to make, and it forces us to get started with our day.  And, Lucas LOVES his class!

Here he is doing some yoga at the end of the class.

After class, Lucas and Coach Laura showed us how great he did today with his hand stand practice.  She setup this little launching pad for him to use to boost himself onto the platform, and then she helped him perfect his pose.

Next they showed me his bar work.  I love it!

While Lucas was in class, Ellen and I went on a walk.  It has to be one of the prettiest days of the year today.

After class, Jeff met us at KK again.  Not a great habit we are forming here, but it sure is fun : )

Next was the Chicken Coup Tour 2012.  Folks around Raleigh that raise chickens open up their home for people to see and learn about raising chickens.  There were some amazing yards.  At this first house, there was a chicken on the loose that Ellen was fascinated by...

Poor chicky was running for his life.

The next house that we walked to had a calmer chicken that they let Ellen pet.

The third house had an amazing backyard!  Tiny house, huge backyard.  I would like to replicate this in our yard one day...

Lucas and me.  Note the trailer in top left.  They had the inside spruced up to be a guest room.  Very modern with stainless steel appliances.  Very cool.

The last house was more fun for the kids...

I told her to not give me a cheesy smile, but to just look at me.  This was the result.
