And then we met up with our buddy Lincoln (here's where the unfairness comes in). Lucas got to ride several rides, but Ellen wasn't big enough for a lot of them and it was so crowded and everything was moving so fast (not the rides, but the crowds) that she got hot and frustrated. But she did ride a few rides, the tea cup thingy being one of them. Here we are about to start the ride. I figured she should be in my lap since there were no seatbelts, so that's how we began the ride. As soon as it started she started screaming and throwing herself all over the place. I thought she was scared was so surprised since she's such a daredevil. So for 3 min of the 5 min ride this is what happened. Finally I sat her down beside me and she stopped instantly and started smiling and enjoying the ride. She IS a daredevil!!!!

Happy Birthday to Ellen!!!!
The lady turns 2 years old tomorrow. Hard to believe. We decided that since her bday is on a Monday that we would pretend like it was Sunday. So Sat night we setup two of her big presents so that she'd see them first thing on Sunday morning. Here are a couple of pictures of her coming down the stairs. She said, "What IS that?" The she and Rody became fast friends!
The plan was for us to open the other gifts later, after breakfast, but Lucas couldn't wait. He wanted to give Ellen the gift that he had picked out for her, which was this grocery cart full of fake groceries. She loved it! We knew she would - she always gravitates toward it at Target and loves to push things around.
After the opening of the a few presents, we worked on making her birthday cake. Of course both of the the turkeys loved that!
A special breakfast for the birthday girl (and her brother) : ) Strawberries with whipped cream...
As the kids were eating, Jeff and I made pancakes shaped like the #2 for the bird's birthday breakfast. We were happy that our friend, Olivier, joined us for the celebration. Ellen and Lucas love him so much. Here we are singing happy birthday to her... for the first time:
