The plan was for us to open the other gifts later, after breakfast, but Lucas couldn't wait. He wanted to give Ellen the gift that he had picked out for her, which was this grocery cart full of fake groceries. She loved it! We knew she would - she always gravitates toward it at Target and loves to push things around.
After the opening of the a few presents, we worked on making her birthday cake. Of course both of the the turkeys loved that!

She KNOWS that Mommy gave her the tent and "Rody," and that Lucas gave her the shopping cart and food. I asked her the other day and that's what she said! (She shrugged her shoulders when I asked her what Daddy gave her. :-( )
I actually overheard this conversation : ) I was in the office and was surprised when she said that Lucas gave her the shopping cart - surprised she remembered that since it happened so fast. Mommy and Daddy gave her the other things... guess we have to do a better job of making that clear next time :)
