Lucas and Ellen had a weekend packed full of Christmas parties. The first one was on Friday morning at Kim and Christopher's house with all of Lucas's best buddies. I can now comfortably take them both out, but unfortunately I can't manage to do that and capture the outing in photos, so not pics of that party.
The second party was on Friday night at our neighbor's house. They hired Santa to come to the party and surprise all of the kids. These people grew up in Raleigh and have tons of friends with kids, so the house was full of kids running wild of all ages. Lucas was in heaven! He was shy at first, but then buddied up with a 6 year old boy and then a 10 year old girl.
He partied hard, but didn't mind taking a break to put some icing on some cupcakes...
While Lucas was playing we got to spend some time with our friends Ele, Will and Finn while Ellen took it all in from the couch...
At 9pm the host made a call and found out that Santa had just left the North Pole and would be at our party in 20 minutes! All of the kids and parents gathered in the family room to await his arrival. Lucas B. is in the red plaid shirt at the bottom of the picture...
