Lucas LOVES his friend Ian. We had him over after school this week for lunch and some sprinkler fun. It is so interesting to hear Lucas conversing with his friends. He's in a phase now where he wants to kind of show off himself and his things to get approval. So he'll say, "Look at me!" and do a funny spin move. Jeff and I get this all day long, and we're usually already looking at him. Same thing with his friends. It starts when they get into our car and Lucas asks them if they think his car is cool. Then he shows them how it has cup holders in the back, seat belts, etc... each time asking if they think it's cool. The friend usually responds with, "I have that in MY car too." Then when we pull into our driveway it is all about his home... "do you like my home? look at this. do you have this in your home too?" So excited to show his friends where he lives!
He likes to show off his good friends too. He had Lincoln over this weekend. They were looking at the pictures on our fridge and when Lucas found the picture that Sasa gave us of him and Ian he snatched it down and said to Lincoln, "THIS IS IAN!" Lincoln, showing no enthusiasm towards Ian, said, "Where is the picture of me?" Luckily there was one of those too. Thanks Sasa.
