Saturday Morning

Since this is Mark and Wendy's last weekend in Raleigh, we wanted to make sure and coordinate our pool visits with their's. Jeff had a sprint tri this morning, which we debated going to, but decided it was too much trouble with the kids. It was too early, too hot, too far away and the parking was too far away from the event. Jeff did great - 8 minutes better than he did last year! And we had a fun morning at the pool and then a picnic lunch before heading home for naps and rest before our Farewell Party for Mark and Wendy later in the day.
Wendy's sister recently moved here, and Lucas loves her two big girls - Kayleigh and Sophie. Charles, Lucas, Kayleigh and Sophie played on this little baby raft thing for over an hour. They were pretending that they were out at sea and Mark was an octopus that was trying to get them. There was a lot of squealing and laughing. And apparently the octopus threw them when he caught them.
Here is Lucas being launched...

And now Charles...

Caroline is such a happy girl, especially when she's with her mommy : )

And Miss Ellen is happy too... when she's doing anything but swimming! The stinker will tolerate the water for a few minutes, but she quickly gets bored and wants to explore the rest of the grounds. Not great when it's me by myself and Lucas wants to swim, but today it was okay because Mark the Octopus was playing with them.
