Go Quinn Go!

Lucas's blog friend, Quinn, is only 2wks old. We don't know him or his parents. We read about him on a friend's blog the day or so after he was born. His parents had a normal pregnancy and delivered Quinn thinking he was a healthy newborn....

From Quinn's blog:

"Right after he was born, the doctors noticed he was having trouble with too much fluid remaining in his belly. They went to drop a suction tube down his throat when they ran into another problem. His esophagus was not fully connected to his stomach. Upon further investigation, they found two holes in his heart and some underdevelopements that will require surgery to correct. They found his intestine not fully developed, and a few anomalies with his esophagus, and windpipe. All of these are completely fixable with today's doctors, but timing has become the issue with him being so young and the doctors wanting to make sure his heart can handle the operations."

I've been checking in on Quinn's progress daily. He's already had a few surgeries, including heart surgery yesterday...and he's only 2wks old. Today I saw that Quinn's uncle has created a website where you can send in a picture with a sign cheering Quinn on. What a good idea...I know it will make his parents feel good knowing there are people all over the world thinking of their little baby.

Here is Lucas cheering on Quinn...
